Dog Guard® Out of Sight Fencing® uses a digital radio signal that will keep your dog within the boundaries that you desire. Our fence installation involves creating the safety perimeter that you design, and then our fence installers place a thin wire underground.

Your dog then wears a comfortable colar that has a small receiver that connects to the radio signal that the transmitter emits. As your dog approaches the barrier, the receiver emits an appropriate stimulus level. If your dog continues to advance, a second field produces maximum correction to prevent escape.

Because each installation is customized, you define the boundaries. We’ll work with you to protect your pet from driveways, pools, and other dangerous areas. Our system can also protect your flowerbeds, shrubs or other areas from your playful pet.

The border of your property is marked with flags which creates a visual boundary for your pet. We will work with you and your pet by walking the border while they are leashed and allow them to see the flags and hear or feel the mild the safety que. We will work with your pet, so they understand where the fence is located and where they can be in your yard. Together we will determine the appropriate levels of audible ques and stimulus ques for your pet. We will also determine, based on your pet’s personality, the distance from the yard border where your pet will receive the stimulus que.

How a Dog Guard® Out-of-Sight Fencing® System Works

After the areas of containment are defined (see below), and the signal wire is buried in the ground, there are boundary flags that will be setup to mark the area of containment. During the early days of training, you walk your leashed dog around the inside perimeter of your pet containment area, and verbal commands are used to train your pet to avoid the boundary flags. After your system has been activated, when your pet enters the reminder zone, 3 to 6 feet from the signal wire, they will receive your choice of an audio signal or a mild correction stimulus, warning that they are approaching the boundary.
